Hummingbird Help Guide

  • Plant tubular flowers, especially in bright reds and oranges.

 

  •  Provide wide and shallow basins of water for drinking and bathing.

 

  • Remember to deadhead your flowers, as this encourages the plant to produce more flowers than it would otherwise.

 

  • Provide perching opportunities for them to rest on. Resist the urge to prune low hanging tree limbs.  Hummingbirds prefer low branches with few leaves on them.
