Hummingbird Help Guide
-
Plant tubular flowers, especially in bright reds and oranges.
-
Provide wide and shallow basins of water for drinking and bathing.
-
Remember to deadhead your flowers, as this encourages the plant to produce more flowers than it would otherwise.
-
Provide perching opportunities for them to rest on. Resist the urge to prune low hanging tree limbs. Hummingbirds prefer low branches with few leaves on them.
